It's Not Easy Being Green

Going Green

Green. It's a hot topic in every media outlet. And, sure, if you can do anything to help make our world a better place, why not? But, what about when it comes to buying print?

At the heart of the paper and printing industry is the forest. Paper comes from forests all over the world, but only 10% of those forests are under any kind of management. Managed forests standards are set "to meet the social, economic, ecological, cultural and spiritual needs of present and future generations." Currently, two organizations lead in providing education and promoting sustainable forestry practices — FSC (international) and SFI (North America). Read more ...


Spelling Mistake

Oh, No!! How did I miss that?

It is the nightmare of everybody involved with design, approval and buying print -- errors. Especially those caught after a job has gone on press.

Unfortunately, your best efforts will sometimes be in vain. It's just human nature.

However, there are things you can do to make this a rare occurrence rather than a regular one.

carrier-route:
The addresses to which a carrier delivers mail.

carrier route file:
The official listing of all city and non-city delivery post offices, available to mailers in a standardized format.

carrier-route presorted mail:
Sorted by carrier route to qualify for discount postage.
