Don Ciambotti
How long have you been at NPC? I have been with NPC for 21 years now. I've worked in accounting, scheduling, warehousing, all phases of manufacturing, customer service and sales. I guess I've pretty much been kicked out of every department at NPC.
Where are you from (where did you grow up?) I was born and raised in Altoona, PA. As for growing up, my wife will tell you that she is still waiting for that to happen.
If you went to college, where did you go? Penn State (And no, it wasn't in the pre-Paterno days... it just seems like it.)
Music (Song or Artist): "For He's a Jolly Good Fellow" — such a catchy tune. (Let me guess, now you can't get it out of your head.)
Food: The Italian Sub at Mike's Court. Oh, and Hershey's Special Dark Chocolate. Can't live without that dark chocolate.
TV Shows: The Sopranos, capiche?
Movies: Rocky I, II, III, IV, V, VI and VII. Wait, there's no Rocky VII yet. Scratch that one for now.
Interesting fact(s) about you that may be surprising? I'm a basketball official. Usually I'm the shortest person on the court, even when I'm doing grade school games.
Funny story or memory about working at NPC? A long time ago when I was a supervisor in manufacturing, I had two ladies on my shift that did not get along. Weekly, one or the other would come to me complaining about the other one. One night I called them both into the office and told them that for the next 30 days, they were going to work side by side on the same machine with each other. Guess what... I never heard another complaint from either one. Well, they didn't think it was funny, but I did.
Anything you'd like to share about your family? I have a wonderful family that I treasure dearly -- my wife, Ruth, and three daughters, Jenna (22), Nicole (18), and Alexis (14). When I die and meet Saint Peter at the Pearly Gates, he's going to say, "You're the guy who had a wife and all those teenage daughters? C'mon in!"
