NPC moves up to No. 101 on Printing Impressions 400

NPC climbed 13 spots to No. 101 on the Printing Impressions 400 for 2009, the 26th year that the magazine has ranked the industry's leading printing companies in the U.S. and Canada.

NPC ranks first on GPO vendors list for 2009

NPC earned the top spot on the United States Government Printing Office (GPO) Top 50 Vendors List for fiscal year 2009. NPC was first on the list for the third time in the last five years, taking the top spot in 2005 and 2006.

For the 14th consecutive year NPC was ranked among the top suppliers of print and related services to the Federal Government, continuing its long-standing tradition of delivering value-added products and services to the United States Federal Government.

NPC named one of Best Places to Work in PA for second straight year

For the second year in a row, NPC, Inc. was selected as one of the Top 50 Best Places to Work in PA in the large-sized company category (251 or more employees). NPC was recognized and honored at the Best Places to Work in PA for 2009 awards ceremony on December 1, 2009, at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center.

The Best Places to Work in PA list is made up of 100 companies split into two groups — 50 medium-sized companies (25-250 employees) and 50 large-sized companies. NPC was ranked No. 38 this year.

The awards program, created in 2000, is one of the first of its kind offered by a state in the country. The program is a public/private partnership of Team Pennsylvania Foundation, the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry, and the Central Penn Business Journal.

To be eligible for consideration, companies must fulfill the following eligibility requirements: Have at least 25 employees in Pennsylvania; be a for-profit or not-for-profit business; be a publicly or privately held business; have a facility in Pennsylvania; be in good standing with Commonwealth agencies under the Governor’s jurisdiction.

NPC hosts Xplor Mid-Atlantic Region meeting

NPC, Inc. hosted the Xplor International Mid-Atlantic Region meeting on Friday, October 16, 2009.

Fredric G. Antoun, Jr. was the Keynote Speaker and gave a presentation on Communications Considerations: The Environmental and Economic Impact. Antoun's law practice concentrates on federal government procurement law, primarily handling matters that involve printing, graphic arts and information dissemination. Antoun has been a presenter at seminars and events held by PIA, Xerox, government agencies, and Xplor. He is the author of numerous trade magazine articles. Leroy Corbin, NPC's Vice President of Business Development, was the guest speaker and gave a presentation on Secure and Authentic Documents. The meeting also included a tour of NPC's production facility.

NPC earns FSC® and SFI® certifications

NPC, Inc. has always been a proponent of environmentally-friendly initiatives over the years and our commitment to the environment is reflected in our investment to earn Chain of Custody (CoC) certifications from the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) in February 2009.

In addition to our continuous recycling and waste management efforts, printed products leaving NPC’s facility with the FSC or SFI label shows that the raw materials for these products originated from certified, well-managed forests.
