Blair County businesses partner with The Challenge Program for 2017-18 school year

NPC was part of a group of Blair County businesses that contributed a combined $46,750 to The Challenge Program, Inc. to support the program’s efforts to motivate and reward high school students during the 2017-18 Program year in Blair County high schools.

Through The Challenge Program, Inc., sophomores, juniors and seniors are introduced to careers in their own communities and challenged to compete in five award categories that are directly linked with academic and workforce success: Attendance; STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math); Academic Improvement; Academic Excellence, and Community Service. Additionally, businesses engage students in a variety of work-related activities such as facility tours, classroom presentations, career days, and job shadowing.
